Extra financial help

You may be eligible for a bursary of up to £1,200 a year if you are aged 16 to 19, in further education, and are one of the following:

• In care or a care leaver
• Claiming income support
• Disabled and getting Employment and Support Allowance, and Disability Living Allowance

If you aren’t in any of these groups, you might still be eligible depending on your personal circumstances.

The Bursary Fund is administered by schools, colleges and training providers. At Churston it’s paid directly by the school to help with costs like equipment you might need for your courses, school lunches and transport to and from school
