The CUBE is open from 8 am until 5 pm Monday – Thursday and 8 am until 4:30 pm on Friday

ATTENDANCE 

Please remember to ring the absence line 01803 845781 every day your child is absent before 9.30am – clearly stating the reason for the absence.

Ten continuous days or more of illness requires the school to be provided with either a copy of the prescription or the medical appointment card. In extreme circumstances under the direction of the Local Education Authority, a Doctor’s Certificate may be required.In extreme weather conditions it is important to check the school website or phone the school 01803 842289 to check if Churston is open as normal.

MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS

For medical appointments taking place during school time, please contact our attendance officer in advance of the appointment by email (attendance@churston.torbay.sch.uk) detailing the date and time of the appointment and the written confirmation details of this for our records. Should you arrange a last minute morning appointment so your child will not be in morning registration, please leave a message on the absence line by 9.30am that day.

HOLIDAYS

Holidays should always be booked outside of school term time. If for some reason this is genuinely unavoidable, permission must be sought by completing an ‘Absence Request Form’.
